AMD's Powerful Radeon RX 480 GPU at just $199(Rs.13500) the best rival for GTX 1080 GPU
On 1-6-2016 AMD unveiled it most budget friendly powerful GPU at just $199 in the Computex show held in Taiwan. It has AMD's new Polaris architecture with a low TDP of about 150W or
<150W . As AMD says they has the goal of providing the best VR experience for about 1.4 billion PC by this year and coming. Now as AMD showed in their show today they said that about 60% of the people lag behind viewing the VR experience is that the cost of making a VR equipped system coasts more than $800 or so. AMD also show us the statics of the graphics cards bought by consumers, most( about 80% ) of them costs between $100 and $300, which means nowaday gamers does not get the desired frame rates or the buttery smooth performance the desires. And for that solution AMD has come with the brand new Radeon RX 480 which has more than 5 TFLOPs, 256 GB/s memory bandwidth, with 36 CUs, and incredible TWP of about 150W, and a premium
design with premium AMD technologies all for about $199. Most GPU with this capabilities will cost at least $500.
Benchmark of GTX 1080 vs Radeon RX 480
The reslts were impressive the GTX 1080 which costs about $700 utilisation 98.7% of GPU to maintain an fps of 58.7 and the 2 Radeon RX 480's which costs <$500 outperform the GTX 1080 by 62.5 fps with a GPU utilisation of only about 51% where the GTX 1080 is struggling to maintain a frame rate of 58.7 fps while the 2x Radeon RX 480 smoothly handle a higher frame rate of 62.5 fps . So here the conclusion is a GPU which has more value for money. The graphics is available for purchasing from in 29-6-2016.
Overall this is a budget value card for money with immersive performance , low TDP and smooth VR experience. And also AMD promises us that this card will provide best performance for the next 4 year gaming .
